At first there was children's chorus, then musical studio, and with entering the university there began keenness on guitar and foreign languages, and new projects. Festivals of bard song, theatrical singing, punk-rock group “Otkhod”, French project with Psoy Korolenko, and then songs in Yiddish…

Alexandra Skvortsova - violin, vocal
In my childhood I've got patience enough only for musical school - didn't enter musical college, but also didn't throw the violin to get dusty behind a wardrobe - and then - then "insane" rockers mixed up with peaceful hippies - and after just another rehearsal, decided to visit a friend guitar player, and met there Anya with Volodya... and it's fearful a little, and so uncommon... and furthermore I'm not Jewish at all but... but the music is so beautiful..:)

Vladimir Zaslavsky - mandolin
Didn't study music in my childhood at all (and feel sorry about this until now), but studied English, and in the institute - applied mathematical physics, as a result taught myself to play guitar, recorder, blues harp, and finally - mandolin, after having heard plenty of low-grade pop music in the traditional quarters, went to search for traditional music to the friends, and just in time one familiar with hippie-blues matters guitarist got inflamed with Jewish musical project - and off we go...

History

We got acquainted studying the repertoire of traditional Jewish musicians - klezmers, in the kitchen of the rented apartment of one familiar guitarist on Prospekt Mira. In the process of creative mess and disorder we spent several months and played several open and closed gigs, among them one real Jewish wedding.

Concert in the synagogue of shtetl Saltykovka in Moscow region in November 2004 finally confirmed people in their desire to play Jewish music. Mess and disorder ended by that time, the group has got constant staff and name - "Der partizaner kish" ("The kiss of partisan girl").

The style of our group unites the desire to give to everybody, who hears us, the possibility to cry and at the same time - possibility to make merry and to have a dance. Therefore we sing shrill lyrical Jewish songs in Yiddish, and also play traditional rollicking wedding music.
